Green Watts International has been working on developing an 82MW Wind Power Plant (the “Project”) since 2012, with G114 wind turbines boosted power curve reaching 86MW. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) of Jordan approved the Project as part of the expression of interest process on 23 April 2012, for which MEMR signed an MOU with Green Watts on 30 May 2012 to develop, build, own and operate the Project. In March 2013 and September 2013, two 60 meter wind masts and one 100 meter wind mast have been installed at the site, respectively. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with local distribution company NEPCO was signed on the 12 Oct 2015, under which NEPCO will connect the site to the grid with sufficient capacity. The Project has reached financial close in Nov 2016, and shall be fully operation in Jul 2018.
